7 year old Anusuya from a village near Dharmapuri district sustained burns in a house fire. When the wounds healed the right knee joint went into contracture. She is a motherless child and her father is a daily wage earner. With this deformity she could no longer walk and her schooling stopped. This is the beginning of the social disaster.

Under the 'Hope after Fire', scheme she underwent staged Reconstruction and she is back to school again.Leg contracture being released.

She runs to the school and takes part in all the games. Truly we prevent social disasters...
